My wife and I were staying at the Delaware and were on our way back from dinner, and decided to stop in.
The beers were great. I had an amber ale, and my wife had some porter. I admit, my tastebuds aren't that refined, so many beers taste great to me.
The ambiance was good. Plenty of seating, plus they have lounge space upstairs with games.
They had "pub" food, but our bellies were full so we didn't try any of it.Michael S.Denver, CO
Literally the most welcoming brewery I've visited! Family owned, great beer && fantastic atmosphere! I'll be back.Merrick M.Indianapolis, IN
-Indiana patron for life.
Beer is always changing which makes it hard to get "the usual" but I've never had a problem finding a new beer I like here. Service is awesome and kinda. Make sure to check out all the easily missed things upstairs.Mark S.Florence, OR
Dark elf chocolate mint porter - haven't had anything like it! Random find after some hiking, definitely worth the stop!Kim F.Fort Collins, CO

We had a brew before dinner at Periodic. My husband is a chemist, so he loved the logo, and enjoyed the beer. If you are a craft beer lover, check them out. A cool, laid back vibe here. We enjoyed it!

My husband and I were in town for a few days and we came here twice! The first time we ordered a flight and sampled 4 different beers, my favorite was the Kolsch and my husband's favorite was the Treeline IPA. The first time we ordered the cheese platter which was okay, but we really enjoyed the Truffle Popcorn. It was enough food to say it was our lunch. The 2nd time we went we just ordered beers. It's a great atmosphere for chatting with nearby tables or sitting at the bar was fun too. I saw that some reviewers were not impressed with some of the wait service, my take on it was that some of the staff was not as outgoing, they were friendly, but not maybe as vocally welcoming, but once you got to chatting they were all fine. Also, to the people who didn't get greeted, you pretty much come in and you can go right to the bar or you can find a table, once you find your table you go back up to the bar and place your order, as all orders are taken at the bar. Upstairs there was a couch and cushy chairs and all kinds of games you could play. We preferred the main level as it was brighter and more of the atmosphere we were looking for. The 2nd time we didn't eat, we drank a couple of beers and then walked a few blocks to Mountain High Pizza for dinner, which was perfect because they don't serve alcohol.

First trip to Leadville and we stayed at the historic Delaware Hotel. As I was unloading suitcases from the car, I noticed the brewery right across the street! Can it get any better?
I've read some negative comments here but my experience was nothing but positive. Arriving around 8:00, I found a nice stool at the half circle shaped bar. I was served in a matter of seconds and the beer tenders were very attentive. I had an IPA at 8.2 ABV and it was completely satisfying. Strong Hop aroma and the right touch of citrus. A Pb pint sells for $7.00, which is more than beers I bought in a recent trip to NYC. Not sure if they have a happy hour.
Pb had a good selection of beers and only a few were not available. Loved the vibe of the taproom. I heard the second level had seating and games. No bar service up there yet. The brewery is on the back side of the building.
I came back the next day and bought a T Shirt - cool design. While there, I sampled a double IPA and it was fantastic.
It's great to drink local beer while visiting a town. There are many breweries in Colorado but this one has a lot of unique elements and I hope they have a very successful future. I can't comment on the other beers as I only had the IPA's. Their IPA's would compete favorably in an American Style IPA judging.
I wish I was back there right now! Check em out.
On separate notes, I'd recommend a stay at the across the street Deleware Hotel. A very unique place. In addition, it just so happens there is a discreet weed dispensary next door to Pb so that's a bonus if that's your thing.
